Simbly Bored

It's me that's bored enough to blog. The posts are interesting enough.

From The WSJ Opinion April 24, 2009

Here’s something “the former senior adviser and deputy chief of staff to President George W. Bush” wrote for the Wall Street Journal. It would be good to hear some comments from you guys on it. One line that stuck out…

In London, he [President Obama] said that decisions about the world financial system were no longer made by “just Roosevelt and Churchill sitting in a room with a brandy” — as if that were a bad thing.

As if that were a bad thing…

I really wish the WSJ would stick to economics.

Economics and politics don’t live in separate dimensions. Even in the truest free market system (which itself is a political construct) where businesses are free to pursue (whosoever’s) interests within the limits set by the government. The limits may be strict or liberal but they exist for sure in every country, and hence it is valid for the business class to have an interest in the political process.

WSJ is just fulfilling that need, and BTW except in the opinion section they stick pretty much to the market and economics.
